The National Solar in Schools Program

From July 2008, schools around Australia were able to apply for funding under the National Solar Schools Program. Within the Australian Government’s National Solar Schools Program, each school can apply for up to $50,000 per campus in grants to install a minimum 2Kw solar electric power system. The program has proved very popular and we encourage schools to register their interest via the on-line grant process then contact your local Power Partner to ensure you have a local expert offering your school the best solution for your energy needs.

The program will continue until mid-2015.

Schools are also eligible for the Solar Credits Scheme and this does not affect your National Solar in Schools Program eligibility. Effectively meaning each school can install the largest solar power system possible to reduce their energy usage and therefore electricity bills over time.
